Smile Campaign: AC3: Technical Skill

Technical Skill:

Test Footage:

As I am unable to leave the confines of my home due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic - I asked my girlfriend, Radeya, to record a take of herself reciting the given script. I chose to do this as I believe that showing many different people, of different backgrounds and ages, furthers the message that mental health is not something solely experienced by a single group of people, as stated in the script, "stress - it affects us all."
Out-takes:
In this segment, I will present takes that I recorded as part of the process of making the tv advert - but did not use. I will explain my reasoning as to why I did not think these takes were suitable to appear in the final cut.

I used the cutting tool to cut this clip down from 11.95 seconds to 3.35 seconds.

I put the videos I had on the timeline and cut them down manually.

I used the text settings to place text saying 'Smile Campaign' - it placed the text across the entire timeline. I used the cut tool to make the text the right size.

In the closing seconds of my advert - I show the title slide with the name of 'Smile Campaign'. I wanted the audio of me saying the campaign slogan, "fighting back against stress with a smile", overplayed on top of the title card. To do this - I selected the media of my dialogue and right clicked. I then used the 'detach audio' option - meaning I could act upon the audio and video independently of one another and then overlay the audio over the title card.

I cut this video from being 17 seconds to 3.21 seconds;
